HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

According to the traditional Chinese calendar, this week marks the beginning of the year 4710, a Year of the Dragon! It is said that the next twelve months will prove prosperous and provide transformational change for many. Believers in the calendar will use the next two weeks to celebrate wishes of health, wealth, longevity and good fortune.

Of course, we at Red Bank Flavour welcome any opportunity to reign in new beginnings! But as we look to the future, we cannot help but reflect on how far we have come! Over the past year, the Red Bank Flavours not only welcomed new guests and loyal patrons, but we also celebrated a variety of new culinary treasures. Nina’s Waffles and Sweets and Sugarush now grace us with their heavenly desserts. Temple Gourmet Chinese brings a taste of authentic Chinese to the downtown. The arrival of the Cheese Cave has given new meaning to fine wine and cheese pairings. And the grand opening of Bluewater Seafood, in addition to the new ownership at Teak, has provided each of us with new culinary destinations to share with family and friends!

The Year of the Dragon looks promising for continued growth and prosperity, especially in the bustling borough of Red Bank. If it is anything like last year, we at Red Bank Flavour will be smiling!

HAPPY 4710!!

Red Bank Flavours Let You Bring Your Own

Let’s face it. Wine-making is evolving almost as fast as social media. This week, we’ve been fascinated by the evolution of Prosecco. As discussed in the recent New York Times’ article, Prosecco was born in the hills of Treviso, Italy, following World War II. Traditionally a sparkling wine, Prosecco now can range from dry to sweet, sparkling to flat. The process of its fermentation, region for growing, and time for aging vary from producer to producer. And what we once thought we could find in any bottle of Prosecco –fresh, simple, sparkling goodness –now varies from bottle to bottle!

How is one to keep up with the quickly evolving world of wine? We at Red Bank Flavour have one solution: taste them!! With more than a dozen BYOB restaurants offered throughout Red Bank, the Red Bank Flavours provide plenty of opportunities to sample your way through the wine world!

In the mood to sip a crisp glass of Prosecco, Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio? Maybe you prefer a big-nosed Cabernet or light Pinot Noir? No matter what your preference, grab a bottle and head to the Blue Water Seafood, New Corner Italian Restaurant, Dish, Via 45, Monticello, Front Street Trattoria, Gaetano’s, Temple Gourmet Chinese or Boondock’s Fishery! Each of these Flavours offer you the option to bring your own wine…. and plenty more!!

Celebrate 2012 with the Red Bank Flavours!

As 2011 came to a close, we at Red Bank Flavour took a moment to reflect on what we love most about Red Bank.  And the amazing food, delicious cocktails and overabundance of live entertainment topped the
list!     New to Red Bank in 2011, Red Bank Flavour welcomed Temple Gourmet Chinese, Sugarush – A Sweet Experience and The Cheese Cave to its extensive culinary list.  The roster of fantastic live performances at
The Two River Theater Company and The Count Basie continued, making our downtown the perfect destination to enjoy dinner and a show any night of the week.  For those in search of something a bit more low-key, Clearview Cinemas continues to boast independent film with the perfectly unique, art house-vibe.

So we at Red Bank Flavour say, if you haven’t made a resolution for the New Year yet, head to Red Bank in 2012!!  Enjoy an exquisite dinner with people you love at your Red Bank Flavour of choice. Dance to live music, enjoy a cocktail overlooking the Navesink, or simply take in a show or go to the theater!
